Manchester Cityhave had a £41 million bid for Nathan Ake accepted by relegated Bournemouth as they look to get their summer business wrapped up quickly.

The fee, which would be a club-record sale for Bournemouth, would see them receive £40m upfront with a further £1m to come in add-ons.

The Holland international will now discuss personal terms with Manchester City, who identified Ake as a centre-back target along with Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.

Ake joined the Chelsea academy at the age of 15 before signing for Bournemouth in what was a £20 million club record deal at the time.

It has been noted that Chelsea still have a buy-back clause that they can activate regarding Ake – meaning they have first refusal on any accepted bid for their former youngster.

The Netherlands international has gone on to make 146 Premier League appearances, scoring 12 goals and keeping 30 clean sheets

The club is also closing in on a deal for Valencia winger Ferran Torres, 20, who has been identified as a replacement for Leroy Sane.
